Photogaphy Show

March 15 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Historic Poole Forge

2026 Photography Show Biographies

Eric Bannon

is a cabinet maker from New Holland. I live in New Holland, and work in cabinetry. I have always had an interest in photography. It really took off in 2008, when bald eagles started nesting south of New Holland. Eagles are still my favorite subject, and seeing them never gets old!

There is a peaceful solitude to being out in nature. Mix that with the beauty and excitement of capturing a split-second of amazing action. That is why I am most often drawn to wildlife photography.

Some of my other interests to photograph are car shows, airshows, and hot air balloons.

Robert E. Belgrad

Robert E. Belgrad is a photographer based in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. After more than two decades as a mixed-media sculptor, wood carver, blacksmith, bronze caster and metal fabricator, he turned his primary focus to photography. His background in traditional crafts and metalwork informs his visual approach, giving his images a strong sense of structure, texture, and physical presence. Earlier in his career he also contributed to film production, designing and creating several large sculptural mobiles used in the movie John Carpenter’s Ghosts of Mars.

Belgrad’s photography centers on historical themes, rural scenes, and Americana, and his work often incorporates a deliberately painterly editing style – an approach he jokes grew from his inability to draw or paint “to save his life.”

Dale Ebersole Jr.

Dale Ebersole Jr is a Lancaster County native and is a retired police officer. Dale has been dabbling in photography since 1977 and has done a wide variety of photography genres. Dale was formally trained in forensic evidence and emergency scene photography. Dale currently likes to photograph wildlife, landscapes and themed related photo shoots.

Dawn Rise Ekdahl

Dawn Rise Ekdahl is currently the Executive Director at Historic Poole Forge, Narvon, PA. An avid wildlife photographer, she spends most of her free time outside — hiking in the woods, photographing from her kayak, or on the beach with shore birds and mammals.

Her passion for photography has deep roots. She developed an interest in landscape photography while studying and traveling in Europe during her college years, and a passion for wildlife photography while conducting her doctoral research with primates in Kenya through Rutgers University. In Africa, she had the good fortune to work alongside researchers initiating conservation projects with the Laikipia Wildlife Forum and Research Center, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, and the Jane Goodall Institute.

Dawn’s work has been widely recognized and published, appearing in magazines, wildlife reports, newspapers, websites, calendars, and the East African Wildlife Journal. Her photos have also been featured in Network News stories, and she has placed in several notable photography competitions. Closer to home, she currently photographs wildlife releases and events for Lancaster County’s Raven Ridge Wildlife Center, has documented programs for the PA Game Commission, captures the magic of flight for a Hot Air Balloon Company, and brings the elegance of equestrian tradition to life through her coverage of Four in Hand Carriage Drives

Rachel Foraker

I was that horse crazy little girl who drew horses on every piece of scrap paper, read every horse book I could get my hands-on fiction and non-fiction, and rode every chance I got. At sixteen I finally had a horse I could call my own; he was my best friend and taught me so much more than I ever thought possible. I left for the Marines after graduating and had to say goodbye to my most faithful companion, he was loaded into a trailer headed for Connecticut, and I never saw him again; the tears were endless. I have always loved photography and capturing moments that will pass through the hands of generations of families; moments that were special at times of capture but priceless in years to follow. I have very few images of my beloved Pac-Man and I wanted to give other horse owners the opportunity to capture the special relationship that exists between horse and rider. I am from the small town of Narvon located in beautiful Lancaster County Pennsylvania with my husband Tom, our children Allison, Cole, Mason, Olivia, Brayden, McKenzie, and Blake. Along with our six dogs Ruger, Trigger, Gunner, Axl, Rosie, and Odie; 4 rabbits, 17 chickens and Becky the turkey. I continue my love affair with horses and have a new-found best friend in the form of a paint mare, Candy, I have waited 14 years for.   Though I have a focus on equine and equestrian photography I also do portrait sessions, weddings, engagements and parties.

Mary Beth Myford, Sports Photographer, Pictures by MB

I am a sports photographer from Fleetwood, PA, who specializes in capturing the “love of the game”—those fleeting, powerful moments that define the athletic experience. From high-speed action to sideline smiles, my photography celebrates the energy, emotion, and connection that make sports unforgettable. I am drawn to the grit of a game-winning play, the joy of a shared laugh between teammates, and the quiet focus just before the whistle blows. Each image is a tribute to the heart and hustle of athletes at every level. Through my lens, I aim to ensure that the passion for the game shines through every picture.

Kristina Porter

My name is Kristina.  I am a Chester County native now living in Lancaster County.   I love to photograph anything in the great outdoors… from nature, landscapes and wildlife shots to old architecture and ruins of what used to be…  I hope you enjoy my photography as much as I enjoyed capturing it.

Jon Rhodes

I am in retail management and I currently live in Ephrata, PA.  I have lived in PA for half of my life, I was born and raised in West Virginia.  While in my teen years, with the help of my dad, I got interested in photography using a 35 mm camera and took pictures for both my junior high and high school publications.  After high school, I got away from photography for about 30 years.  Once I moved into Ephrata, three years ago, I got back into it.  I started off with mostly enjoying landscape photography then started to expand to wildlife photography.  I currently enjoy any scene where I can capture a moment that can explain a story!  Some of the events I enjoy capturing every year are the snow geese migration and migration of other waterfowl at Middle Creek Wildlife Management, eagles at Conowingo Dam, the Ephrata Street Fair and the Lancaster County Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Steve Scotto

Hi my name is Steve Scotto based in the heart of Amish country in Lancaster, Pa.  I have been specializing in capturing the local countryside for the last six years with a focus towards primarily the nearby landscape including farmsteads, barns, and the simple way of living here. My passion is to photograph these and many other types of scenes with unique angles, lighting, vibrancy, and perspective in which each viewer can appreciate the beauty of the landscape to another level.  I have been a featured photographer for the “Lancaster County Barn Tour”, and continue to post frequently on various Facebook photography related groups. Lastly, when I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy playing racquetball, working on repairs or remodeling projects, and spending time with family and friends.
